Climate Change and Resilience Building in Baidoa and Dadaab Refugee Camps
Rise for Humanity Organization (RHO) is committed to strengthening the resilience of vulnerable communities affected by climate change in Baidoa, Somalia, and the Dadaab Refugee Camps in Kenya.
Climate change continues to pose significant challenges across the Horn of Africa, with recurrent droughts, erratic rainfall, environmental degradation, and loss of livelihoods affecting millions of people. Women, youth, refugees, and internally displaced persons (IDPs) are among the most affected groups, facing increased food insecurity, water shortages, and economic hardship.
Through its climate change adaptation and resilience-building initiatives, RHO works closely with communities to promote sustainable environmental practices, disaster risk reduction, climate-smart livelihoods, and community awareness. These efforts aim to strengthen local capacities to anticipate, withstand, and recover from climate-related shocks.
By empowering communities with knowledge, skills, and sustainable solutions, RHO contributes to building a more resilient future while supporting poverty reduction and sustainable development in both Baidoa and Dadaab.
